title: Make a video with invideo without a terminal
description: Generate and edit a video with Agent Two in the invideo app, or with Claude, ChatGPT or the Gemini app in the browser. No install, no commands.
---
You can make a video with invideo without a terminal: generate the shots, voices and music it needs, cut them with your own footage, and export. Use Agent Two inside the invideo app, or connect invideo to Claude, ChatGPT or the Gemini app in the browser.

In ChatGPT, install the official invideo plugin. For Claude or the Gemini app, add invideo as a connector or custom app with this name and URL. Agent Two needs no setup.

```text
Name:            invideo
MCP server URL:  https://mcp.invideo.io/mcp
```

## Pick a path

Every path works on the same invideo projects. You can start in one and continue in another.

| Path | Where you ask | Set up |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Agent Two | The agent panel in the invideo app | None. Sign in at invideo.io. |
| Claude | A chat on claude.ai or the Claude desktop app | Add invideo as a connector once. |
| ChatGPT | A chat on chatgpt.com | Install the official invideo plugin once, from Customize, then Plugins. |
| Gemini app | A chat on gemini.google.com or the Gemini mobile app | Add invideo as a custom app once, in the web app. Google limits who can. |

## Agent Two in the invideo app

Agent Two works inside invideo, next to your timeline. Nothing to install.

<Steps>
<Step title="Open invideo">
Sign in at <a href="https://invideo.io/" target="_blank">invideo.io</a>. Open a project, or create a blank timeline.
</Step>
<Step title="Add your files">
Open the Media panel and select Upload, or drag your files into the panel. You see each file in the panel when its upload ends.
</Step>
<Step title="Ask Agent Two">
Open the agent panel on the left and describe the video. Say the length, the shape, which files to use, and what must stay the same.
</Step>
<Step title="Review">
Watch the result in the Monitor and on the timeline. Change anything by hand, or give Agent Two a short follow-up.
</Step>
</Steps>

## Claude, no install

Claude on the web or the desktop app uses invideo as a connector.

<Steps>
<Step title="Add the connector">
In Claude, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**, and click **Add**. Choose the custom web connector. Name it `invideo`. Use the URL `https://mcp.invideo.io/mcp`.
</Step>
<Step title="Sign in">
Select Connect. Sign in to invideo in the browser and choose your workspaces.
</Step>
<Step title="Turn it on in a chat">
In a conversation, open the + menu, choose Connectors, and turn on invideo.
</Step>
<Step title="Let Claude upload your files">
So Claude can upload the files you attach to a chat, open **Settings**, then **Capabilities**, and add m.invideo.io under **Allowed websites**. You do this once. You see m.invideo.io in the list. The full steps are on [How do I let Claude upload my files to invideo?](/ai-agents/how-do-i-let-claude-upload-my-files-to-invideo).
</Step>
</Steps>

In a Claude organization, an owner adds invideo to the organization's connectors first.

## ChatGPT, no install

ChatGPT has an official invideo plugin. The full steps are on [Use invideo in ChatGPT](/start/chatgpt). In short: open **Customize**, then **Plugins**, add invideo from the Creativity list, then ask for a video and sign in when ChatGPT opens the invideo page.

## Gemini app, no install

The Gemini app uses invideo as a custom app. The full steps and Google's rules for who can add one are on [Use invideo in Gemini](/start/gemini). In short: in the Gemini web app, open **Settings**, then **Connected Apps**, add a custom app with the URL `https://mcp.invideo.io/mcp`, sign in, then type `@` and select invideo in a chat.

## Continue an existing project

To work on a project you already have, open it in invideo Editor, copy the URL from the browser's address bar, and paste it into the chat. Ask your agent to open it and list its timelines, then say which one to change. The URL is how every tool in invideo finds a project, so the agent needs no other id.

## Where your files go

Put your files in the invideo project, then name them in the chat.

- **In the invideo app**, drag files into the Media panel.
- **In Claude, ChatGPT or the Gemini app**, open the project in invideo and drag the files into its Media panel. Then tell the chat which files to use. You can also attach a file to the chat, and the agent brings it into the project. In Claude, this needs m.invideo.io allowed once. See [How do I let Claude upload my files to invideo?](/ai-agents/how-do-i-let-claude-upload-my-files-to-invideo).

Use folder and file names in your request, like "use product.mp4 first". The agent finds the files by name.

## How to ask

Describe the result, not the clicks. Say the length, the shape (9:16 vertical, 16:9 wide, 1:1 square), the files, the music mood, and the text to show.

```text
Make a short vertical birthday video for Maya from the photos in
this project. Open on the beach photo, add soft music made for it, a
voice that says "Happy birthday, Maya" and the same words on screen
at the end. Tell me the price before you generate anything.
```

```text
Shorten this timeline and keep the speaker's lines in order. Add
captions. Show me frames from the start, middle and end.
```

The agent works on a branch, so your main cut stays as it was until you accept the change.

## See the cost

Edits and exports are free. Generation and transcripts cost credits. Paid stock costs a small credit charge, or one of your workspace's iStock licenses. Your agent runs a dry run first and tells you the price before it spends anything.

Your agent runs a dry run first. For any call that costs 1 credit or more, it tells you the price and waits for your yes. A call under 1 credit runs without asking, and your agent tells you what it cost.

Agent Two's work and the media it makes use credits. An outside agent edits for free and pays only for generation, transcripts and paid stock.

Here is where you see the cost on each path.

- **In the invideo app**, select the three dots on an agent message to see what that reply used. For the whole project, select the three dots at the top right and choose Project Usage. The permission toggle in the chat box can make Agent Two ask before every generation.
- **In Claude, ChatGPT or the Gemini app**, the agent tells you the price of each paid call in the chat.

See [Credits and what they cost](/account/credits) for prices.

## If something goes wrong

Most problems come from invideo not being on in the chat.

| Symptom | Fix |
| --- | --- |
| Claude does not use invideo | Open the + menu, choose Connectors, and turn on invideo. |
| Claude says it cannot upload your files to invideo | Allow m.invideo.io in Claude under **Settings**, then **Capabilities**, then **Allowed websites**, and start a new chat. See [How do I let Claude upload my files to invideo?](/ai-agents/how-do-i-let-claude-upload-my-files-to-invideo). |
| ChatGPT does not use invideo | Check that invideo is installed under **Customize**, then **Plugins**, and name invideo in the prompt. |
| The chat cannot find your files | Check that they are in the project's Media panel, and use their names. |
| The chat cannot see a workspace | Reconnect invideo and choose that workspace in the sign-in. |
| Avoid: the chat asks for a code or password | Instead: you sign in on the invideo page that opens. |
| Avoid: the chat says done without a link | Instead: ask for the timeline URL and frames from the video. |
