title: Can I create an avatar of a celebrity?
description: You cannot create an avatar of a celebrity or politician, because invideo requires explicit consent from the person in the recording.
---
No. invideo requires **explicit consent** from the person in the recording. So you cannot clone or impersonate public figures, such as celebrities or politicians.

The same rule applies to a real person's likeness or voice in generated media. See [Licensing and commercial use](/account/commercial-use).
