title: How to share a timeline for review in invideo Editor
description: Share the project with a reviewer as preview only from the Share button, collect comments by timecode, and keep the rest of the project hidden.
---
Share the project with your reviewer as **Preview only**. The reviewer sees the preview tab and the timeline previews, and can comment. Every other tab stays hidden. You do not need to export to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve to get feedback from a client or a colleague.

## Share with a reviewer

1. Open the project and click **Share**. One share modal opens. It always shares the project.

2. Type the reviewer's email. Choose how to add them: **Connect** gives access to this one project and uses no seat. **Add to workspace** gives a guest seat and access to every open project in the workspace.

3. Set the role to **Preview only**.

4. Open the preview tab and click **Copy link**. The link opens the preview the reviewer should watch first. They can switch to the other exports in the project.

5. Send the link.

The reviewer signs in to invideo, watches in the browser, and comments by timecode. Commenting always needs an invideo login.

## Share a link without adding people

Under **General access** in the share modal, pick who can open the link.

| Option | Who can open the link |
| --- | --- |
| **Your workspace** (default) | Members of your workspace. Others see a request-access page. |
| **Anyone with the link** | Anyone signed in to invideo. They can view, comment and fork. |
| **Restricted** (Enterprise) | Only people invited to the project. No link sharing. |

When someone opens a link they cannot access, they request access. You get a notification that opens the share modal, where you add them to the workspace or connect them to the project.

## Send a finished result instead

To hand over a result rather than the project, export the timeline from the **Notebook**. A new export page is private. Set it to anyone with the link before you send its URL. See [Export a video, audio or a PNG still from invideo Editor](/projects-and-exports/how-to-export-video-audio-or-a-png-still-from-invideo-editor).

No MCP tool or CLI command shares a project. Your agent can set an export page's access with `share_export_page`; it cannot add a person to a project. You do that in the share modal.
