title: How do I reduce unwanted clicks in an audio recording?
description: Try Click Remover on brief clicks and review the effect on the surrounding sound.
---
invideo Editor has **Click Remover** (`click_remover`) in **Effects**, under **Audio**. It removes lip smacks and mouth clicks from a voice. Listen closely to the words around each click after you apply it.

Use only as much treatment as the recording needs. Sounds with sharp attacks can resemble clicks, so check that the processing has not softened intentional detail. If a recording remains distracting, compare an alternate take when one is available. Click removal is a different task from reducing a continuous background hum or room ambience. For hum, hiss or room noise, see [Clean up the dialogue and keep the original](/how-to/film/dialogue-cleanup).
