title: Introducing invideo Editor
description: Explore invideo Editor’s multitrack timeline, Agent Two, audio mixing, color controls and generation in one project.
---
invideo Editor is a professional video editor in your browser, with a timeline like the one in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. The difference is that an agent does the heavy lifting with you, and generates the shots, voices and music a project lacks.

Talk to Agent Two in the agent panel on the left. Tell it what you want, such as *"cut this down to 60 seconds"*, *"clean up the silences"* or *"match the color on these two shots"*. Agent Two works directly on your timeline. Every change shows up as real clips and cuts that you can grab, reshape or undo. Nothing is locked, and the edit stays yours.

## What makes this timeline different

The agent understands your footage: what is in each shot, who is talking and how the whole thing is structured. So when you ask for a change, it makes an informed one.

Hand it as much or as little as you like. Let the agent build the whole cut, or edit frame by frame yourself. Both happen on the same timeline.

You can also bring people from your workspace into the same project. You work together, live, in one timeline, instead of passing files back and forth.

## For hands-on editing

invideo Editor has what a serious editor expects: a multitrack timeline, keyframes, color grading, a full audio mixer, effects and transitions. Generate new shots, voiceovers or music without leaving the project. You can also open an existing project, or bring in a Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve project to keep working on it. When you are done, export an MP4, or make a project file for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro with your cuts intact.

## How to open it

Follow these steps to start:

1. On invideo.io, select **Timeline Editor** below the prompt box and create a blank timeline.
2. Open **Media** and upload or drag in your footage.
3. Create an agent and tell it how to assemble your footage into a base cut.

You can also open an existing project.
