title: How to get started with invideo Editor
description: Open invideo Editor, upload your footage and make your first timeline edit in your browser.
---
Create a blank timeline, upload your footage and arrange it. invideo Editor is a professional video editing workspace with a multitrack timeline, audio mixing and color controls. Edit by hand, and bring in Agent Two or your own agent when you want help.

## Start a project

Follow these steps for your first edit:

1. Sign in at <a href="https://invideo.io" target="_blank">invideo.io</a>.

2. Select **Timeline Editor** below the prompt box and create a blank timeline.

3. Open **Media** and upload your video, images or audio. You can also drag files into the panel.

4. Drag media onto the timeline and arrange a short sequence. For help with the assembly, create an agent and describe the cut you want.

5. Preview the sequence in the **Monitor**. Refine the timing, then use the **Audio** and **Color** workspaces as needed.

6. Select **Export** when your edit is ready.

For a first project, choose a few clips and one clear goal. Check the opening shot, the order of the sequence and whether the sound is easy to follow before you add more effects.

Already started a project? Follow the [saved timeline guide](/projects-and-exports/how-to-find-and-reopen-a-saved-timeline-in-invideo-editor) to reopen your existing cut.

Edits and exports are free. Agent Two's work and the media it makes use credits. An outside agent edits for free and pays only for generation, transcripts and paid stock. See [Credits](/account/credits).
