title: When to use Higgsfield vs invideo
description: Higgsfield for generating clips, presets and AI influencers. invideo for editing those clips into a multi-scene video with captions.
---
Use Higgsfield when all you need is generated clips, from presets or an AI influencer. Use invideo when the clips go into a multi-scene video with an edit, captions, voice and music.

Higgsfield is a generation studio for video, images and voice. invideo is a video editor with a timeline that also runs many generation models.

## One brief, two tools

The brief: a 30 second UGC-style ad, with an AI actor holding your product in three scenes, captions and music.

**In Higgsfield.** You pick a model or a preset, upload the product photo, and generate each scene. You can swap one element and keep the rest with its Genjutsu presets. You download the clips. The cut, the captions and the music happen in another editor.

**In invideo.** Your agent adds the product photo with `add_media` and generates each scene with a model such as `seedance_2_5.r2v`, after a `dry_run` that gives the price. It makes the voice with a TTS model, places the scenes on a 9:16 timeline, and adds captions with `add_captions`. It keeps the real product photo as a clip where the product must look exact. Then it checks frames with `capture` and exports.

## At a glance

Checked on 29 October 2026 against Higgsfield's site. It may change.

## Use Higgsfield when

Higgsfield fits when the clip is the product.

- You want one striking clip, and an editor is not part of the job.
- You want its presets or its "AI Influencer" builder.
- You make many UGC-style clips with its UGC Builder, for someone else to cut.
- You want face swap or virtual try-on.

## Use invideo when

invideo fits when the clips are parts of a video.

- You need several scenes in order, with a hook, a middle and an end.
- You need captions, voice and music on the same timeline.
- You want to fix one scene later and keep the rest.
- You want your agent to do the edit and leave a timeline you can change.

## Use both

Generate in Higgsfield, finish in invideo. Download the clips. Your agent brings them in with `add_media`, cuts them together, and adds captions, music and the other platform sizes. The steps are on [Use Higgsfield with invideo](/integrations/higgsfield) and [Finish an AI clip from Higgsfield, Runway or Magnific](/how-to/marketing/finish-an-ai-clip).

## What Higgsfield does better

Say it plainly. Higgsfield is better at some things.

- **Presets.** Higgsfield has ready-made presets you pick from. In invideo, you or your agent write the prompt.
- **Creative tools around generation.** Face swap, virtual try-on and the "AI Influencer" builder are part of the app.
- **A generation-first app.** If you only want clips, Higgsfield has fewer steps. invideo asks you to work in a project.

## Try the brief in invideo

Set up your agent first with [invideo for AI agents](/agents). Then give it the brief in your own words, like this.

```text
Make a 30 second 9:16 UGC ad in three scenes: an AI actor holds this
product. Keep the real product photo where the label shows. Add
captions and music. Price each generation before you run it.
```

## Cost

Edits and exports are free in invideo. Generation and transcripts cost credits. Paid stock costs a small credit charge, or one of your workspace's iStock licenses. Your agent runs a dry run first and tells you the price before it spends anything. Models retire. If a model is not found, your agent runs `find_models` with the job in words, uses the best match, and tells you. Prices are on [Credits and what they cost](/account/credits).
