title: Refunds and cancellation
description: How to cancel an invideo plan on the website, iOS or Android, what happens to your credits, and how to ask for a refund.
---
You can cancel an invideo plan at any time. The plan stays active until the end of the billing period you paid for. A refund is possible only for a plan you have not used, if you ask within the refund window in the terms after you buy or renew. The <a href="https://invideo.io/terms-and-conditions/" target="_blank">terms and conditions</a> are the final word on refunds. How renewals, upgrades, cancellations and refunds work is on the <a href="https://invideo.io/help/billing/subscriptions-and-refunds/" target="_blank">subscriptions and refunds FAQ</a>. Payment methods, invoices and failed payments are on the <a href="https://invideo.io/help/billing/payments-invoices-and-errors/" target="_blank">payments FAQ</a>. Plans and billing periods are on the <a href="https://invideo.io/pricing" target="_blank">invideo pricing page</a>.

Your agent cannot cancel a plan or ask for a refund for you. There is no tool or command for billing. You do these steps yourself.

## Cancel a website subscription

Use these steps if you paid on invideo.io with a card.

<Steps>
<Step title="Open Subscriptions">
Click your profile in the top right corner and choose **Subscriptions**.
</Step>
<Step title="Cancel">
Click **Cancel** and follow the steps on the screen.
</Step>
<Step title="Check the end date">
The page shows that the plan stays active until the end of the billing period. You keep its features until then.
</Step>
</Steps>

At the end of the period, the paid features end and invideo removes your card from the account.

## Cancel an iOS or Android subscription

If you subscribed in the invideo app, Apple or Google bills you. You cancel in the store, not on invideo.io.

- **iOS.** Cancel in your Apple account. See <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph4e3e7324f/ios" target="_blank">Apple's guide to canceling a subscription</a>.
- **Android.** Cancel in Google Play. See <a href="https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481" target="_blank">Google's guide to canceling a subscription</a>.

## What happens to your credits and projects

Canceling does not take anything away before the period ends. These things change when the period ends.

- **Plan credits.** Unused credits from the plan do not carry over. Plan credits do not roll over from month to month on any plan.
- **Extra credits.** Credits you bought on top of the plan end when your plan ends.
- **Credits are not refunded.** The terms say that credits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
- **Projects.** Your projects stay in your workspace. You can still open and edit them.
- **Exports.** Your exported videos stay yours. Exports are free, so you can export an edited project after the plan ends.

## Ask for a refund

invideo reviews each request on its own and decides at its own discretion. A plan can qualify only when both of these are true.

- You ask within the refund window after the first purchase or a renewal. The terms state the window.
- You have not used the plan in the current billing period. The terms count a plan as used once credits were spent or a premium feature was used in that period. A used plan does not qualify.

Contact support from the chat button on the invideo site, or email <a href="mailto:support@invideo.io" target="_blank">support@invideo.io</a>. Include the email address of your invideo account and the reason for the refund. invideo replies by email. invideo processes an approved refund at once. Your bank can take several business days to show it.

If you paid through the Apple App Store, Apple handles the refund. Use <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht204084" target="_blank">Apple's refund request page</a>.

If you paid through Google Play, start with <a href="mailto:support@invideo.io" target="_blank">support@invideo.io</a>. The help center does not describe a separate path for Google Play refunds.

## Picked the wrong billing period

If you chose an annual plan by mistake, you have two options.

- **Ask for a refund.** If you have not used the plan, ask within the refund window, as above.
- **Switch to monthly.** Under **Subscriptions**, choose the monthly version of your plan. The change takes effect at the end of the annual period, not at once. You lose the annual discount from then on.

## If something goes wrong

These are the common problems with cancellation and refunds.

| Symptom | Fix |
| --- | --- |
| You cannot find **Cancel** under **Subscriptions**. | You subscribed in the app. Cancel in the App Store or Google Play. |
| You canceled, but the plan is still active. | This is expected. It stays active until the end of the period. |
| The refund was declined. | Credits were spent or a premium feature was used in the period, or the window passed. |
| You were charged after you canceled. | Check the date. A renewal before you canceled starts a new period. Contact support. |
| Your agent offers to cancel the plan. | Avoid this. Instead, cancel under **Subscriptions** yourself. |
